Mercurio Design Studio offers a wide range of specialty design services for private residential and boutique commercial clients.

We are an Interior Design Studio passionate about creating spaces that are equal parts playful, practical and poetic. Named after the Roman messenger god of commerce, wealth and good fortune, MERCURIO was founded in 2024 in Beverly, MA. We work with a talented network of subcontractors, architects, craftspeople and technicians, resulting in the execution of holistic and cohesive spaces.

  • We'll pull together mood boards, suggest coordinating contract-grade finishes, and assemble FF&E Schedules and DD sets. We work with you to on space planning, furniture layouts, and designing statement custom millwork. We help coordinate FF&E procurement, tracking and installation of of orders. We do make a conscious effort to present our clients with environmentally-friendly and socially-conscious product alternatives. We’re happy to connect you to our skilled network of subcontractors & professionals.

  • These include all services outlined above, but reconceived for a more bespoke home-based clientele. Higher-end finishes, product lines and unique accessories add further dimension and lead to more nuanced and intimate interiors. We are constantly exploring new product lines and materials that support environmental and bodily health, and will happily accommodate any specific allergy or health concerns. We even put together a care and maintenance package so you know how to care for your new items once everything is installed.

  • Whether it is shooting for press look books, magazines, web or social media, we can help add the finishing touches and set the stage to make your space picture-perfect. We love setting tablescapes for special dinners and holiday parties, crafting bespoke floral arrangements, and artwork curation. We can also style for special events or grand openings. We have access to a skilled network of professional photographers that can capture your final big-reveal.

  • We help set the stage for heightened customer engagement and interaction, be it an artful arrangement of products or an eye-catching window display. We develop creative display concepts and source unique accessories that bring your story and personal aesthetic to life. We're also skilled at styling those notoriously complicated home bookshelves.

  • We work side-by-side with web & graphic designers to aid in the harmonious alignment of your business's branded assets and your interiors package. We provide design strategies to help maintain a consistent and cohesive narrative experience that translates effortlessly from concept to construction.

About

Jaz Bonnin has worked as an Interior Designer in Boston since 2017. She received her Master’s of Design in Critical Conservation Studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and Adaptive Reuse from the Rhode Island School of Design. While at University, she was co-founder of the the Harvard Indigenous Design Collective (HIDC), which supported the education and work of Indigenous architects, planners, designers, scholars, allies, and alumni of the Harvard GSD.

Prior to founding MERCURIO in 2024, Jaz was a lead designer at award-winning Boston design studio Wolf in Sheep Design, working with clients in the luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces. There she gained valuable hands-on experience working with subcontractors in the field and learning from industry veterans. Previously, she worked in landscape architecture for clients in Southern California. In addition to her design work, Jaz is also an adjunct professor, teaching Architecture Theory and Criticism at Endicott College in Beverly, MA.

In the spirit of transparency, MERCURIO DESIGN STUDIO proudly makes charitable donations per annum to the following non-profits: American Indian College Fund, 'Aha Pūnana Leo, Homeboy Industries, Beverly Bootstraps, and 400 Forward. It is important to our design ethos to support these causes and communities.
